Assignment #11 (sorry it was late)

On the best day of the world my parents witnessed God’s gift.  June 2nd 1991 my parents, well my dad named me zacheriah Matthew Robinson.  Zacheriah means in hebrew witness to God and Matthew means God’s gift.

internal and external conflict: She is deaf, people around her don’t want her to play

symbolism: She represents that if you want to and you have the heart you can do anything

protagonist: The Deaf girl

antagonist: The girl that yells at her (even though she can’t hear)

Irony: She is deaf and playing not just music but beautiful music

Climax: When she preforms

Theme: the theme apparently is for Pantene

In renisannce time people would see “ghosts” and assume the worst.  Usually people believed that ghosts and demons came as apart of God’s higher plan.  Other than the catholic church and priests manipulating people there aren’t many more superstitions of that time.  Having said this we (as in my family) don’t have any superstitions and the only place that i can think of that is haunted is Alcatraz.

However i did find this video that seemed kind of interesting to me.

Assignment #6

Yes, there are other allegorical characters.  The wizard could be one if you think about it, he is the ruler of oz who tricks the people into thinking he is a great and powerful ruler much like a tyrant or communism.  Also the good witch of the north watches over the characters much like a gaurdian or god.

Assignment #5

After looking at a few self image media commercials I have gathered that most of them are bad, however not all.  On the bad side you have women trying to get unhealthly skinny, or buying make up because there lokks aren’t good enough when on the contrary they look fine.  For men its usually where this to “get the girl” and the show guys, such as the one Mrs. Roper showed us, dumping lots of body spray all over themselves when really nobody likes that and it makes anyone they walk by sick.  The truth is you can’t rely on the media to tell you what to buy people should read lables and look into a subject (such as buying a house or car) and make a decision based on their opinion rather than letting the media tell them what to do so that they make a quota.  On the other side there is some media that is good for people that is if you NEED it for example the weight watchers commercial is good for you, unless you’re already 12 lbs under weight.  That is my view on the media world.

English Web Blogging (Gay)

I have never used a web blog before for a class.  I think this is retarted (Sorry Mrs. Roper) and i don’t think I will lever use this again.  I think I will dread this assignment because between me and you i can’t write anyway.  I mean give me any kind of analyitical problem and i can solve it but blogging sucks and I don’t get the point.  This is my own opinion and in now way reflects anything else about the class.
